The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Lambussie Constituency has extended a goodwill message to the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), wishing the party a peaceful and successful constituency election scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026.
In a letter dated October 23, 2026, and addressed to the NDC Constituency Chairman, the NPP conveyed its “fraternal felicitations and best wishes” to the governing party ahead of the internal electoral exercise.
The letter, signed by the NPP Lambussie Constituency Communications Officer, Mr. Musah Mahama, emphasised the need for peace, decorum and mutual respect among political stakeholders throughout the electoral process.
“We wish you a peaceful and successful election. May Providence bless Lambussie and our nation Ghana,” the letter stated.
The goodwill message comes weeks after the NPP held its own constituency elections on July 14 2026, during which all positions in the Lambussie Constituency, except that of Organiser, were contested unopposed. The incumbent Organiser retained the position at the end of the polls.
The gesture by the opposition party underscores the importance of peaceful political engagement and mutual respect between the two major political parties, particularly during internal party elections.
The NDC is expected to conduct its constituency elections on October 24, with stakeholders being encouraged to ensure that the process proceeds without tension or violence.
The NPP concluded its message by expressing hope for a successful electoral exercise and invoking God’s blessings on the Lambussie Constituency and Ghana as a whole.
